Third book, chronologically in the Beebo Brinker series. This title gives us Laura and Beebo, living together in the big city. Jack's around to help out, which is a good thing, because life with Beebo isn't easy for Laura, who finds it impossible to cope with her lover's jealousy, drinking and violence.
