Will Pakistan Become A "Sex-Free" Zone? Summary

General Pervaiz Musharraf, President of Pakistan, who is called a latter day Ataturk, is trying to secularize Pakistan and reverse Islamization of last 59 years.

As a first step, he has amended Islamic Hudood Laws concerning women in Pakistan.  These were enforced in 1979 by Gen. Zia-ul Haq after about 2 years of consultations with Islamic and legal experts.

Musharraf and his stalwarts had been putting forward a plea to change these Islamic laws.  That plea is false, baseless and bogus.  Islmic laws are held responsible for all the atrocities Pakistan's corrupt police has been carrying out in the name of Hudood Ordinance, whereas it clearly stands against all such corrupt police practices.  Laws are required to amend the police behaviour and not to repeal the Islamic provisions of the Ordinance.

The book explains the falsehood of such claims and shows it is against all canons of democracy and also against the Islamic constitution of Pakistan.

It will result in increasing immorality in the society and will turn Pakistan into a sex-free zone.

A strong resistant movement has already sprung up in Pakistan against the new law called the Womens' Protection Act.

A clash between the government and the masses has already ensued because of it.  Such an estrangement of masses will result in a mass non-cooperation with the government that will certaily hamper the economic progress in Pakistan.

This is the unfortunate aspect of a dictatorship.  It alienates people from the government, as a sense of participation is buried under a one-sided dictatorship, not caring for the sentiments of the masses.

Under the influence and the pressure of the West, General Parvez Musharraf is trying to change 27-year old Islamic laws enforced as Hudood Ordinances. The book explains the bogus basis on which these Islamic laws are being changed to secular laws against the very concept and ideology of Pakistan for which Muslim India had to undergo a lot of sacrifices.  These sacrfices will go in vain, if Pakistan is turned into a secular state by Musharraf by the force of dictatorship against the unwilling masses.

The book shows all these aspects in detail.
