Therefore, She Writes...: About Life, The Unknown, And in Between Summary

Elizabeth Zara Pagan

Selected Poems

His mom and dad have gone away,
Without hope for what might be,
He feels as though his life was tossed,
Like a stone, cast out to sea.

From "The Lonely Boy"

Abuse knows no boundaries,
When motivated by spite,
And so the memories and ashes of his dreams,
Revisit her every night.

From "Under the Cover of Darkness"

Their minds ramble as they toil,
Overflowing with despair,
"An iceberg hacked the starboard,
Someone signal up a flare"!

From "The Majestic Mighty Lee"

Rescuers hear their friends below the soil,
Aware of the impending doom,
Their strength of will can never move,
Those buried in their tomb.

From "Shaft of Darkness"

It takes time to get the hang of breathing,
From the dread, that wears them thin,
When phantoms from the pit of hell,
Rise to haunt their homes within.
From "Where Evil Lurks"
