Summer of '42 Summary:

Herman Raucher’s classic story of three adolescent boys, Hermie, Oscy and Benjie, who, on a sleepy New England island, set out to have the time of their lives during the summer of 1942. Calling themselves the Terrible Trio, they embrace life, girls and sexual awakening when Hermie falls for a lonely young woman whose husband has just been drafted. Based on the box office smash 1971 movie by the same name, with an original screenplay by Raucher, ask any male over a certain age if they remember the lovely Jennifer O’Neill and watch their eyes mist over....This is a story of the loss of innocence -- for young men and for the entire nation on the edge of war.
