Will Barrent finds himself, without memory, dumped on a prison planet. There the rules are reversed. Crime pays and evil is rewarded and worshipped as a matter of law, but life expectancy is very short. Barrent knows he’s a murderer, but can’t recall the crime. Eventually he makes his way back to earth and discovers that all is not what he expects. Earth society also has different rules most of them designed to preserve the status quo. He eventually learns the identify of his accuser and victim. Make no mistake, it’s satire and there are exagerations, but it reads quickly, is thought provoking and an adventure story.
