Reengineering Your Heart and Your Life Summary

Reengineering Your Heart and Your Life is a heart-centered guide to living a conscious life connected with your values, your vision, your purpose and practical ways to bringing all of this into the world. Reengineering is the metaphor used throughout the book to engage the more analytically-minded reader.

This eBook is also a wonderful addition for coaches and consultants. Not only does the book draw on coaching/leadership methods, but includes new perspectives from a continuous improvement and product development (prototyping and try-storming) skills to enhance the traditional work of coaches and consultants.

This eBook will:
-Help your clients identify core values, passions, and identify their life vision
-Give practical exercises for self-discovery, planning and bringing a life plan into the world
-Allow the reader to BE and DO in the world in a way that creates fulfillment and balance in their lives
-Speak to readers that may normally be "closed-off" to self-development work

Testimonial:

“As a former engineer and Director of Quality, I lived continuous improvement for five years. It never occurred to me what a wonderful structure it could be if applied to myself! Scott offers a firm foundation, many creative ideas, and a workbook format to get you going. And he offers all of this with a friendly, encouraging writing style. If you are a technical type, you will find that the concepts are familiar and that applying them to yourself is not only painless but fun.” - John Vercelli, Principle, Chain Reaction Partners

First three paragraphs of Reengineering Your Heart and Your Life:

This book is the culmination of four years of research, personal development, trial and error, fumbling around and many moments of clarity, exuberance and “A-ha’s.” As someone with a manufacturing engineering background I found that my path through the self-development and personal growth world to be a lot of fun, profound and at times lacking in some strong process documentation. I believe that the process (and your own version of it) will set you free!

After several years of focusing on myself and the relationships in my life (which includes both human interaction and my relationship with beliefs, rules, work, money, etc.), I noticed how many rules or assumptions go either unnoticed or untouched in our daily lives. I also noticed how much of my life and the lives of others are basically on auto-pilot with a silent wish that we will be directed to where we desire to go. Ultimately we are the only ones responsible for fulfilling our dreams, our passions and our vision of who we are and what we want to create.

What I have also come to learn is that in order to truly experience abundance, fulfillment, balance, joy, and happiness in our lives we must become conscious, aware and intentional with who we are, where we want to go and how we want to get there. I have also seen how the engineering and technical community is still grappling with how (as individuals and groups) to step into the space of fulfillment and balance. We are still working within the framework of older rules in how to “be” at work and in our lives. There is still a stereotypical belief that engineers are cold, mind-only, extremely analytical and rational people. While this is true (at times), it is only partially true. My engineering colleagues were also some of the most passionate and energetic people I have ever met.
