The ideal companion for coursework and practical work for A level and undergraduate students who are new to psychology. It provides a set of materials allowing students to select and devise their own practicals with minimum supervision.

"Practicals for Psychology" is designed to help undergraduates design and conduct their first practicals in psychology. It provides a set of materials to allow students to select and devise their own practicals with the minimum of supervision. Hints about data analysis and report writing are provided, but sufficient input is required from the student to provide the desired learning outcomes. Each practical can be a replicated with specialist equipment and easy access to participants. The book includes: twenty key studies with descriptions of aims, design, results and conclusions; studies covering a range of different topics and methodologies; a "Do-It-Yourself" section for each key study to suggest how the student might design their own practical; a section on how to write up the practical, including an actual student's report with comments by an examiner; and questionnaires and word lists.
