Nancia is a young shellperson, a human whose body is not functional, but whose brain is linked to machinery. In her case it is a spaceship which she regards as her body. The story starts shortly after her graduation from school when she makes her first inter-stellar voyage. Her five passengers are a privileged, unscrupulous group who plot to acquire wealthe and power by any means. Together with her ""brawn"" a human who accompanies her, they eventually have to deal with the plotters. A side issue is her growing interest in sex and whether she can ever love anyone with a full body. This is an Extra Large Print publication specifically formatted by the Virginia M.
