Kate Wilhelm has won the Nebula Award three times for her short fiction, and also the Hugo Award and the Locus Award. She has published numerous short story collections. Her first novel was a mystery, published in 1963, and in recent years she has returned to writing mysteries, although she is still better known for her thoughtful science fiction. Wilhelm lives in Eugene, Oregon, with her husband, SF writer Damon Knight. Kate Wilhelm Short Stories Volume 1 includes the 1987 Nebula Award winner and Hugo nominee "Forever Yours, Anna,", and the sci-fi near-novella "Somerset Dreams". Four diverse shorter stories, "And the Angels Sing", "On the Road to Honeyville", "The Great Doors of Silence", and "The Lookalike," round out this collection. Enjoy! |
