"Karg" is the story of Susan Yearby, a gorgeous and brilliant young explorer charged with re-establishing contact with Karg. Her job is part of a program to rediscover human colonies lost during a decades-long exodus through an alien artifact known as "the Pelman point" where for a long time ships could travel to interstellar space, but had no way of knowing where they were going and no way of getting back. The result: hundreds, maybe thousands of unknown Earth colonies scattered in a 1000 light year sphere around Earth system, many of them regressed to primitive status. Karg is such a lost, primitive colony, regressed to Bronze Age status. There are a few elements unique to Karg: the warriors ride giant lizards that look and act a lot like dinosaurs. And on Karg, to be an adult woman is to be a sex slave, forever in bondage to men, and conditioned by their culture to believe that it is right and proper to spend most of their waking hours bound and gagged. When Yearby is captured by Kargian warriors and made into a sex slave by them, she does not adapt well, coming from the more egalitarian society of Earth. She escapes many times and is recaptured many times, getting plenty of opportunity to learn much about Karg and Kargians, especially what it's like to be a Kargian slavegirl (hint: lots of sex, constant bondage, not much in the way of clothing). The conflict between Yearby's need for freedom and the Kargians' desire to enslave her keeps the story moving along constantly, and her search for the secret of Kargian sexual relations gives the story direction and focus, and also keeps all the sexual bondage scenes relevant to the storyline. Whether she's being played as a sexual/musical instrument while bound by ropes, or engaging in mindless, drugged orgies in a barn for milkmaids in chains or enduring the sweet tortures of the aptly-named crucifux, Yearby learns that the life of a Kargian slavegirl is never dull! |
