INANNA'S REVENGE is an erotic and complex satirical fantasy which, if made into a movie, would
have a PG-17 or R rating. It does contain some sexually explicit language and situations
involving Inanna, the Goddess of Love and her consort. Inanna, Goddess of Heaven and Love,
returns to Earth as a modern woman, takes a North Carolina lawyer as her consort, and has him
prosecute a trial before the Grand Assembly of Annunaki. She asks the Gods to hold the male
dominated religious houses of the world liable for man’s excesses with war and violence. She
asks the court to determine whether man shall continue on his current path to destruction, be
altered in some way to protect himself, or be eliminated from the Earth. She and her attorneys
attack most of the major religious leaders of Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the world from
the time of Moses to the present day. Inanna argues man has excessive testosterone, world
religions have become too male-dominated, and that women have been wrongfully oppressed by
priests. In the end, Inanna has her revenge when the Annunaki render their unique
decision. About the Author: Whitley Hodges is a retired attorney who lives in South Carolina. He is the author of The Great Golf Guru (1996) and Inanna's Revenge (2002). He has two additional novels scheduled to be released in 2002-2003. He attended the University of South Carolina where he obtained his B.A. degree in Spanish Language and Literature. He also attended the School of Law at that university where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree. He has been listed in Who's Who in American Law. His prior background includes broadcasting and acting in films: he was in Windmills of the Gods, the ABC mini-series with Robert Wagner and Jaclyn Smith, and he was in Chattahoochee, a motion picture with Ned Beatty and Gary Oldman. He is the father of two teenagers: a son and daughter. He is a U.S. Army veteran. |
