You, the reader will experience with Shari Cutter and Carlotta Gomez the traumatic experiences of the 911 bombing. First the horror they felt when they saw it happen on TV, knowing that their husbands, Tim and Jesse, were both working there that morning. Then the excruciating period of waiting for news of their whereabouts. Carli and Shari invite God back into their lives early on. You’ll see Him walking them through the process that many have had to go through because of this malicious act. They go through a period of fluctuating between fear and hope. As time creeps by they must face the worst case scenario. Still the waiting continues and merciful numbness sets in. The pain isn’t as acute, but they soon realize they are merely existing. You will sympathize with their struggle to move on in life and rejoice with them in their much deserved triumph at the end.. Reader Review: 5 Stars I think this is really a good book. The material is excellent. I know I am a vulnerable wimp myself, but you jerked me around like a puppet on a string--one second crying, another second cursing this sick world. The characters were very real and believable. I wanted to shake some sense into Sheri at times. The resolution was good since I only appreciate happy endings. If you had let Brook die, I would have sued for damages! Having Greg lay hands on Brook and give her healing was satisfying. I identified with the feelings of characters as one experienced encouragement from the Lord that he was putting something together for them while another struggled with the need to let go of the past and to move on to a wonderful future.
