I'll Never Leave You Summary
| Kathleen O’Halloran, a young, impetuous girl who has learned to pilot an aircraft, volunteers to join a group of Americans recruited by Jacqueline Cochran to fly ferry duty for the British Air Transport Auxiliary. She gets romantically involved with an American Air Force Officer and becomes an unwed mother. An old acquaintance, Paul Benson, from her youth, who had developed a crush on her and is now also with the Eighth Air Force in Britain, reestablished contact with her, becomes aware of her predicament and determines to stand by her. Then they are caught in a buzz bomb attack in which she is severely injured, eventually being rendered blind. But Paul refuses to abandon her. |
