About the Author:
Aurelia McNeil’s journey into foreign languages began when she was young. At eighteen years of age, she learned how to speak Spanish by association and interaction with native speakers. Thereafter, she attended Oakland University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in both Spanish and French. She completed a certification program for translators and started her own company which is now called Language Experts, LLC. Ms. McNeil attended graduate school at Wayne State University to complete her Master of Arts degree. Her published master’s thesis is entitled, Computer Assisted Instruction—Its Value to Second Language Learners. She has gained several years of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and teaching Spanish and French in public schools.

She continues her studies in curriculum and instruction, conducts research, and develops language learning materials. Since many curriculum developers are not teachers, Ms. McNeil hopes her perspective as an educator will contribute substantially to the field of foreign language education.
