About the Author:
Dr. Howard W. Penrose, Ph.D. is the Chief Editor of SBD SF&F and is the author of technical books, SF&F short stories, magazine articles and technical papers. Dr. Penrose holds a Ph.D. in engineering as is the Past Chair of the Chicago Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE - 7800 Chicago Members) and is the Vice Chair of the Connecticut Section of IEEE (3800 members). He has advised the US Department of Energy, Canadian Electrical Association, utilities, research groups and industrial concerns world-wide on energy and new technologies. He has been a Professor, professional speaker, design engineer, field service engineer, business manager, business owner, consultant and publisher. Dr. Penrose is a member of IEEE, IMI, NETA, EMCWA, and MENSA.
