Sarah Adams is a successful Physical Therapist, and a compassionate woman, that must face
challenges that could easily leave her emotionally cold and bitter toward life.
Sarah's father served in World War II. He liked to believe that he came out without any
injuries. However, Sarah faced each day, as she grew up, her father's emotional scars from
seeing to much of the war. Sarah finds it difficult communicating with boys and men since she had never been able to communicate with her father. Then one day, as she was volunteering at the local hospital, she met a doctor, David Vaughn, who she falls in love with from their first date. They are able to cross over the boundaries of upper and middle class, and love each other for who they are, rather than what they possess. However, Sarah is not the woman that David Vaughn's mother has always dreamed of her son marrying. Sarah is faced with choices that will determine her happiness in life. Even though she doesn't think it is possible, her heart heals, and she is able to find the love she always wanted. |
