Almost thirty years ago, a book called The Boys on the Bus by Timothy Crouse caused a sensation by giving an insider's view of how the media covered the 1972 Nixon-McGovern election. The Girls in the Van will take us inside the day-to-day gossip and reportage of Hillary's campaign while showing us how the media in the year 2000 has changed its coverage of major elections. The book will also profile the large number of women involved in Hillary's campaign, both as reporters and as staff, and how that too has changed the political and media game.
