Gilly the Goose Summary
|
Gilly the Goose always thinks she is ill (she is a hypochondriac). She is only happy when running to the doctor with her imaginary ills. The doctor plays along giving her harmless pink pills and concoctions. Her neighbors get tired of hearing her tales of woe and they decide to play a trick on her by covering her with red dots. The doctor goes along with the trick and prescribes an outlandish cure. When Gilly is "cured," she calls all her neighbors to tell them about her illness and how the doctor cured her. But as she is talking to them on the phone, she suddenly feels ill again – so the trick did not work. |
