Reader Review: Rating: 5 Stars An absolute page-turner! I found myself ripping anxiously through the 380 pages, and disappointed to finally reach the end. One of those great books you wish would go on and on. Ms. Graham's first novel is an ingenious blend of mystery, science fiction, friendship, romance and triumph over oppression. A must read for Tom Clancy and Ayn Rand fans, but lacks their extensive (sometimes exhausting) attention to details. One can't help but wonder if Flight From Eden will become the prophetic tale for the next generation that 1984 and Animal Farm were for ours. Her characters are extremely likable, intelligent, and will bring you from laughter to tears many times. The heroine and her three compatriots exemplify courage, strength, bravery, loyalty, patriotism, and a libertarian spirit not found since Atlas Shrugged. The difficulties that this unlikely bunch of heroes encounters are not only realistic, but also bear am eerie resemblance to our current state of affairs. -- Web Williams |
