| The first edition of The Family and the School, published in 1985, drew together for the first time developments in the applications of systems theory to family therapy and consultation to schools. It was widely accepted as a seminal text in the field, its special value being the way in which it considered how the family and the school systems overlap and interact with each other. This second edition is fully revised and updated.
