In the dark recesses of a cabinet, inside a plastic bag that was inside a box I discovered an old Recipes File Box.á Inside the Recipes box were treasures jotted down on old tattered pieces of paper.á Some handwritten, some typed, all worn with age, but all taunting of taste tingling cookies, cakes, breads, drinks and main dishes.á Handed down from Great-Grandma Alma to Grandma Pat to my dear Mum Shirley, (who could not cook with a darn though she loved to eat.).á My granny Pat was a fantastic cook, but made meatloaf much too often.á I am not sure about great-granny Alma because I was a wee lass when she passed to the beyond.á These culinary delights are sure to thrill and sometimes horrify you!á Who knew the Scots ate Haggis!á Lutefisk is another Norwegian recipe I have to say Yuck to.áá Our recipes are must tries, especially the cookies and cakes.á If you are searching for your Scandinavian or Celtic roots, give these recipes a whirl.áá Shake those genealogical trees and see what fruits and nuts fall out.á Then bake it up and share it with your friends and family.á
