Book One, Black on White, depicts the effect slavery and its resulting sexual moral decay has on a white female child growing up on a Southern Plantation. From Jane's discovery as a small child of her father engaged in  sexual intercourse with her colored "Mam", to her own   conquests, you'll follow it all. There's the rape of her  colored playmate  by the father of both girls. Jane gets even by seducing a young slave boy. That happened when she was a teen.

As a mature Lady, her husband thought the plantation Master had a duty and obligation to 'break in' the young female slaves before he introduced them to the big breeding slave for making babies. He'd picked the breeder for his 'special' qualities, ones that made him more appealing to the female slave population. Never did he think his wife, the Plantation Lady, would take such an interest in one like that too.
