Death came without warning for college student Michael Fullerton, but death wasn't the end.

Michael found himself in Purgatory, a nightmarish afterlife where demons played in the streets and crumbling tenements stretched miles into the gloomy air filled with hopeless souls trapped in a post mortem bureaucracy waiting endlessly for judgment that never came. In this world the laws of the living didn't apply.

Michael's only hope was a way out, and if that meant a trip through the very gates of Hell he was prepared. What he wasn't prepared for was the terrible secret lying just beneath the surface that could ultimately mean the end of everyone and everything.
