Andy's investigation leads to surprise twists involving an unlikely cast of characters. While at the hospital morgue identifying the body of Alta Banks another associate also tragically murdered, Andy runs into a doctor acquaintance that unbeknownst to Andy, is tied to the two murders. He suggests Andy employ his patient Bre'Ann Kingsley, a young victim of a gang assault who could prove useful working undercover. Andy agrees not knowing Bre'Ann's troubled past. She becomes more important to Andy than he could possibly imagine in spite of her personal demons.
