About the Author:
Leon Cooper is an inventor/entrepreneur who holds a number of patents on safety products sold worlde wide. During WWII he was Boat Group Commander for his ship, leading landing craft carrying assault troops on a number of Japanese-held islands, including Tarawa and Iwo Jima. The battle scenes in the book are the background for Leon Cooper's other conflict, between him and his sociopath commanding officer.
