H. Doug Matsuoka takes naps on a ledge overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Thus he appears deeply tanned approaching, and ghostly pale departing, the walking embodiment of Yin and Yang. To list his virtues, one could begin by saying he has never killed anyone, not a Frenchman, and not even a saxophonist, by drawing a sharp steel blade through the throat from ear to collarbone, or by causing hurtling metal projectiles to release kinetic energy in living tissue. The legitimacy of calling this a virtue comes into question on meeting some of those who have escaped the aforementioned blade and projectiles.
