Do you wish you really understood the Bible?
Do you think that there is much more to God’s word than you have been told?

Have you been a serious Bible student for years and still are full of questions?

This Computer Study Bible was prepared for you to learn what your loving Father wrote, in the shortest possible time. Before the advent of the latest computers and software this goal could not have been achieved working on your own.

This Bible is the result of more than a quarter century of work. The advent of the latest technologies applied to this Bible will allow you to learn faster and deeper than you thought possible.

Do you know that only with 1) a King James Version Bible and 2) a Strong’s Concordance that you can go back to the original manuscripts from which our Bible was prepared? This is not true of any other translation and concordance.

This Bible was prepared to be used on a computer. This is so that you can take advantage of the speed and linkage capabilities.

What is this Computer Study Bible and how was it prepared?

First, for some people the old English word spellings are a distraction and a hindrance, so those words were replaced by current spellings. THE VERSES WERE NOT CHANGED. See the words in BOLD in the verses below which shows the original and the edited version for an example of how those changes were made.

(Mark 12:35-37 Original) And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David? For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool. David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

(Mark 12:35-37 Edited) And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David? For David himself said by the Holy Spirit, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool. David therefore himself calls him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

If you read the edited version you can see that it reads easier with no loss of original meaning or content.

Two other changes were made throughout; 1) Holy Ghost was changed to Holy Spirit and 2) in almost all cases heart was changed to mind. An example of changing heart to mind is in this following verse.

(Gen 6:5) And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his mind was only evil continually.

In addition many of the words or phrases in a Bible have meanings that are not easily understood, particularly as much of the Bible teaches on three levels. Figures of speech, Hebraisms, symbolisms though clear when the text was written is not clear to us in modern times. An example of explaining a Hebraism is as follows:

(Psa 60:8) Moab is my wash pot[1]; over Edom will I cast out my shoe[2]: Philistia, triumph you because of me.

1 "WASH POT": Because they had already been defeated and they could do with them what they wanted. Think of the wash pot as a way of cleansing ones feet.

2 "SHOE": A Hebraism or figure of speech, in that it was a custom at the time that if they were taking possession or claiming land they would throw out their shoe onto the land they were claiming. Likewise if they took their shoe off on their own land it was a sign that they were surrendering the portion of their own land.

Attention is also given to both translations and transliterations in this Computer Study Bible. For those who are not aware of the difference here is an example using the word Moses. Moses is a word that has been transliterated. It means the exact letters from the Hebrew alphabet are brought into the English alphabet and the word is pronounced Moses. But this only gives the pronunciation of the name. To translate it, we have to know what it means. The word Moses means drawn from the water.

To further aid your understanding, there are about 20,000 notes attached to more than 8,000 verses so as to explain or make the meaning clear to you while you are reading. Two examples of this are shown below.

(Psa 37:25) I [1] have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

1 "I": A Hebraism (I have been young, and now am old) a figure of speech meaning my whole life.

(Dan 10:1) In the third year of Cyrus[1] king of Persia[2] a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long[3]: and he understood the thing, and had understanding[4] of the vision.

Dan 10:1: This chapter happened two years after the prior chapter. 1 "CYRUS": God named him a hundred years before he was born. 2 "PERSIA": Iran of today. 3 "LONG": A long time off from Daniel, and has still not happened even up to today. 4 "UNDERSTANDING": Understanding of the first part of the vision.

Also, the Bible is so incredibly interlinked that it is simply awe inspiring. If you follow the links to those other verses, and return, it will become clear, without question, that only God could have authored the Bible.

In the past, thumbing through paper pages to find related verses took a long time. Because of that most people did not take the time to do it. Therefore they missed the incredible richness and inspiration in this marvelous letter from our Father.

This Computer Study Bible was designed to enable you to link to other verses immediately. Then you can also instantly return to where you were reading with your understanding considerably enhanced. An example of these links is the underlined portions in the verses below:

(Ezek 37:9) Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind[1], prophesy[2], son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four[3] winds, O breath, and breathe[4] upon these slain, that they may live.

1 "WIND": Prophesy to the spirit. 2 "PROPHESY": Means teach. 3 "FOUR": Symbolic of earth. The four winds bring about the instant of the seventh trump as in Daniel 7.2 and Revelation chapters 7. See Revelation 7.1-3. In verse 3 they are waiting until God's word is sealed in their foreheads. The sixth seal is going on in this generation. 1 "FOUR": See Jeremiah 49.36, Daniel 8.8, Daniel 11.4, Zechariah 2.6, Matthew 24.31, Mark 13.27. 4 "BREATHE": They are sealed in their minds.

(Dan 7:2) Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision[1] by night, and, behold, the four winds[2] of the heaven strove upon the great sea[3].

1 "VISION": This vision is of the end times. It is future to him and future to us. 2 "WINDS": The four winds bring about the end of this dispensation just prior to the millennium. Four winds all blowing toward the same point. See also Revelation chapter 7. 3 "SEA": This is the great sea of people as in Revelation chapter 17.

There are hundreds of these links in this Bible. And, more than any other aspect, it is this ability, never available prior to the current technology that enables you to learn so much, so fast. Your increased understanding will strengthen your belief and all that comes with that peace and confidence.

It is a prayer for you that this Bible will strength your faith, drive you deeper into God’s word and give you the great peace as the truths of the Bible are now unsealed for us in this generation.

(Dan 12:9) And he said, Go[1] your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed[2] till the time of the end.

1 "GO": Go your way meaning it would not be happening during Daniel's life.

2 "SEALED": Here He sealed the word, but opened them in Revelation 22.9-10. It is in this generation of the fig tree that it is being opened up. It is important to remember that a seal is to provide us with knowledge of what will happen in the future.

(Rev 22:10) And he said unto me, Seal not[1] the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

1 "SEAL NOT": This is the opening of the seal for us today of that which was sealed in Daniel 12.7-9.
