The things I am going to share with you I believe are true. I also believe that people have known them for years, yet they are too afraid to confront the church. Jesus was confrontational. He came strongly against things that were not working. He said He did not come to bring peace but a sword; He called those who were “doing church” serpents, brood of vipers, hypocrites, fools, dead men’s bones, and white-washed tombs. He turned over tables, publicly rebuked sinners, yelled, and probably even screamed.

Jesus was loving and nice and He is still loving and nice; it is the church of today that is not nice and for the most part it is not loving. The church of today does not have nor demand standards that are carried out with great and excessive precision; it does not have nor expect its members to follow exact requirements.

No, the church of today is not nice. As a matter of fact, the typical church of today is actually hurting itself and all of those it leads, and that, my friend, is one reason why the church of today is losing members at such an alarming rate. That is why the church of today is not effective, not growing, and not changing the world.

Yes I am going to be blunt and I am going to be confrontational as well. I do not have the time or the desire to sugar coat things, and if you take the time to think about what you read before getting upset you will agree with me as well. I hope I aggravate you so much that it causes you to change. Why?

Because I AM a nice guy.
