The Chinese Almanac is both a health guide and a unique planning tool. It is based on the ancient Chinese science of long-term weather forecasting, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and knowledge of how the universe affects natural disasters, health, diseases, emotions, business and more.

With the push for modernization in 20th century China, this knowledge has been largely forgotten today by all but a few scholars and elder physicians. In 1994-95, Dr. Thomas Zhang had the rare opportunity to learn the system from such elders in China and now uses this knowledge daily in his practice.

The almanac contains predictions for the whole Northern hemisphere on the weather, natural disasters, crops and livestock, health and diseases, emotions, business trends and more, and includes detailed health advice matched to weather conditions throughout the year.

Thomas Zhang, ND, Dr of TCM, is a naturopathic doctor and a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 1994-95, he had the rare opportunity to study Traditional Chinese Medicine in more depth with some of his father's teachers in Tianjin, China. From those elders he learned the nearly forgotten roots of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including prevention and the root causes of disease, as well as the ancient science of long-term weather prediction. Thomas practices in Thornhill, Ontario.

Ariel Frailich is a writer and publisher who has been interested in alternative medicine as well as in all things Chinese for a very long time. He lives in Toronto, Ontario.
