Présentation du recueil " Écritures du désert "

Ce projet a pris naissance dans le cadre des échanges établis entre le Cégep de Thetford et l'Iset de Gafsa. Notre volonté de voir s'élargir nos contacts, d'ouvrir sur des horizons culturels et littéraires différents des nôtres, a motivé au départ ce projet. Notre but ultime : parvenir à une publication conjointe de textes québécois et tunisiens. Or, voici le produit de ces quelques récits qui portent sur le désert, thème recoupant ici plusieurs réalités et se rattachant à la notion de vastitude. Le sujet nous a semblé offrir, non seulement un espace, mais encore la singulière occasion d'explorer la création littéraire ainsi que la découverte de l'autre. Les textes prennent donc racine dans des cultures parallèles qui se rejoignent en plusieurs axes dont celui de l'échange.

Le recueil rassemble treize textes littéraires québécois et tunisiens. Ce livre s?accompagne, tantôt de photos qui évoquent le désert, tantôt de photos qui le représentent. Quelques citations d'auteurs reconnus chevauchent ces textes littéraires. Nous avons surtout cherché à réunir des textes aux couleurs variées, certains aux registres plus intimistes, d'autres aux tonalités plus descriptives. Nous souhaitons aussi laisser place à la parole qui témoigne de notre fureur de vivre dans un monde souvent difficile.

Nous terminons ici en adressant nos remerciements au Cégep de Thetford et, plus particulièrement, à madame Pierrette Bélanger, qui nous a soutenus tout au cours de la production du recueil. Ce dernier n?aurait pas vu le jour sans la direction de Monsieur Mokhtar Farhat, qui a bien voulu orienter les élèves tunisiens dans la production des récits. Nous désirons aussi souligner la contribution de monsieur Rémi Dussault pour les photos de notre région et la générosité de monsieur Pascal Poublan pour celles du désert de la Tunisie.

Enfin, nous apprécions, à travers le partenariat Cégep Iset, la contribution financière de l'ACDI pour l'impression de 200 exemplaires du présent recueil.
