For as long as I can remember, I have heard people who are overweight say that they do not eat any more than thin people do, but they still can't lose weight.

I thought this was odd, but I didn't give it much thought after that. However, when I started hearing more and more reports about the obesity problem in the United States, I began to take note. What I noticed was that overweight people do have quite different eating habits than I do ...

... I don't think that overweight people are intentionally lying about what they eat. I think that because of our super size culture, people are unaware of what is a healthy, normal, moderate way of eating.

For the next month, I have decided to record everything I eat and any physical activity I do.

I do not proclaim to have the best eating and exercise habits. I also do not believe everyone should weigh 120 lbs. Each person has a weight that is right for him or her. I am just publicizing how one person who has never been overweight eats and exercises. Those who read this will definitely pick up a few clues about how to obtain and maintain a healthy weight.
