But once his heart is melted by Billy, Scrooge discovers it harbors another, even more unaccustomed feeling, one that frightens him as not even the ghost of Jacob Marley did. Scrooge, it seems, is falling in love with the widow of Pewsey. But even if he manages to pluck up the courage to ask Mrs Kincaid to marry him, will she agree? Or is the December of life too late to recapture the love and happiness he once stubbornly turned his back upon? Could any woman say yes to the man once known as the meanest man in London?
